Vocabie
A vocabulary-learning app designed to help learners build words they can understand, remember, and use naturally.
Vocabie is an in-development vocabulary-learning app. More soon.
The idea
Vocabie is being built for people who want a stronger vocabulary and more confidence using new words. Rather than asking learners to memorize long, disconnected word lists, it makes vocabulary building a daily process: words arrive gradually, appear in different kinds of exercises, and return over time according to how well they are known.
The goal is more than recognizing a definition. It is to understand a word well enough to use it naturally.
What it is being designed to support
- Daily lessons that make steady progress realistic.
- Personalized practice and vocabulary tracking.
- Listening and writing exercises that move beyond flashcard recognition.
- An AI-powered coach for exploring words in context and practising conversation.
- A broad range of learners, from everyday vocabulary builders to advanced English learners preparing for university, professional communication, or vocabulary-heavy exams such as the SAT.
For SAT preparation, Vocabie is intended to complement traditional study by strengthening contextual understanding, word recognition, and academic vocabulary—not to replace a full exam-prep programme.
In progress
I am currently shaping the learning system, vocabulary corpus, personalization, AI interactions, and the overall experience of making vocabulary practice sustainable every day.
This is an active private build, so there is no public product or release date to share yet. The project page will evolve as the product does.
Key Highlights
- •Designing a daily learning loop that introduces, reinforces, and revisits vocabulary
- •Building for contextual understanding and active use, not definition memorization alone
- •Exploring AI-guided practice alongside listening and writing exercises
